The KM Charity Team will trade under the name School Inspirational Services outside of its Kent heartland.
While its KM-look logo has been a key element to the charity’s success story within the county, outside of Kent a brand that sums up the innovative educational services it provides to schools and groups supporting the vulnerable was required.
Simon Dolby, charity chief executive, said: “We are very proud of our links to KM Group, but as we expand into neighbouring geographic areas, being associated with KM will cause issues when it comes to securing press covering with media in the new territories.
“The new brand also requires us to build a second website to promote the elements of our work available outside of Kent, and this is well underway.”
Last autumn the Charity Commission gave permission to the educational charity to both widen its remit as well as the geographical area it serves. The charity now has approval to operate anywhere in England, but Simon is expecting a slow, managed roll-out to be more the order of the day.
