Two children’s charities will have something to smile about next month when they receive a cash windfall from the KM Big Charity Quiz.

Tickets are still available for teams of up to eight to join in the fun being staged by the KM Group’s charity department on Friday, November 17 at Maidstone Leisure Centre.

Money received from the sale of raffle tickets and refreshments at the Shepherd Neame charity bar will be matched pound for pound by Barclays bank. This will boost the coffers of the Kent Messenger newspaper’s charity of the year Leybourne Grange Riding Centre for the Disabled, which provides recreational and therapeutic riding sessions for youngsters.

Also receiving a share of the proceeds will be child literacy and road safety services for schools, organised by the KM Charity Team.

Suzanne Giles from Barclays said: “We’re really looking forward to supporting and running the charity bar. It’s going to be really busy, but we thoroughly enjoy it. We’re also looking forward to using our local pound for pound to make sure that we’re supporting the charities for the KM Quiz.”

Quiz teams will receive a bottle of wine and substantial nibbles for the table and the chance to win a stack of prizes at the raffle including toys and collectables from Hornby. One lucky quiz-goer will have the chance to win a luxury spa day for two if they correctly answer an on the spot quiz question.

Event organiser Dominic Comins said: “With Barclays matching the charity pot and some amazing prizes to be won, there is no better time to get a quiz team together. Why not gather a team of friends, family, or work colleagues for a fun night out and give two good causes a real boost?”

Backed by businesses including Wilkins Kennedy the event is open for booking at our Event Booking page or click the direct link HERE. Don’t forget to use the code KMNEWS17 to receive a £10 booking discount.
