The training day takes place at the charity team’s offices in Whitstable on Tuesday, June 5, and the price is £60 per person.
This practical, hands-on, half-day course will provide training at basic and intermediate levels, and will help you to understand how to use press releases to help achieve your goals. It is designed for business and voluntary-sector organisations.
Run by KM Charity Team chief executive Simon Dolby, the course is perfect for those just starting out in trying to generate press coverage for their causes, but also has plenty of tips for the more experienced.
The session will include practical press-release writing sessions, and will cover:

- When to contact the media
- Who to contact
- How to make contact
- The building blocks of press releases
- Advanced tips.
Tea, coffee and a sandwich platter lunch are included in the price of the course.
