Martin Vye has been thanked for almost two decades of services to the KM Charity Team.
His decision to stand down as Chairman of the Board of Trustees this June was recognised at the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards when Deputy Chairman of the Board, Stuart Smith presented Martin with an engraved decanter.
Martin has been associated with the charity since its creation, originally as a club and society, back in September 2000.
Making the presentation at the annual education awards proved the perfect platform as Martin is a retired teacher.
Simon Dolby, charity chief executive, said: “Martin’s dedication and leadership has helped establish the charity as a major force delivering key services to both the education and charitable sectors. I am personally enormously grateful to him for his support.”
Martin will remain on the Board of the KM Charity Team.
