More than 500 runners took on the KM Colour Run raising £25,000 for 60 good causes in the county.

Families and friends ran, jogged or walked the 5K course while being showered all colours of the rainbow. Colour Bandits including staff from headline partner Specsavers manned stations along the route where they sprayed participants with vivid colours of powder paint.

All participants received souvenir KM Colour Run t-shirts and sunglasses to wear during the event and limited edition medals were handed out at the finish line.

“I’d like to thank our key partner Specsavers along with Countrystyle Recycling, IMP who organised the PA system, Karyn’s Fitness and Zumba who led a brilliant warm up, and Betteshanger Park – along with the venue’s fantastic onsite cafe Lillyroo’s – for all their help in making the event such a huge success.”

Simon Dolby, chief executive of the KM Charity Team, said: “We’ve had a great day for it with 500 people of all ages completing the course with flying colours – even young children in buggies and strollers have joined in the fun. The KM Colour Run is a wonderful day out and a great physical activity challenge for all the family.”
