The Kent and Medway Charity Team has received a number of accolades since its creation in 2001.  In the early days of the organisation it was called Kent and Medway Walking Bus Group. In 2009 it changed its name to Kent and Medway Charity Team.

The charity has received:

2005 - The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

2002, 2005, 2007 and 2012 - Green Apple Environment Award.

2008 - National Green Hero.

2009 - Named a four star member of the Green Organisation.  

2010 - Named a five star member of the Green Organisation.
