More than £10,000 has been raised for kids causes and cancer charities at the KM Charity Walk.
After a year's break the big walk returned and was staged on 500 acres of land owned by the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, and attracted 700 adults and children. The route took in picturesque woodland and riverside paths along the Medway.
After completing the route, which a number of participants completed twice or three times to ensure they met personal targets for the distance walked, they were treated to discount vouchers for the adjoining Hop Farm leisure attraction.

Beneficiaries from the walk included three Kent hospices, Heart of Kent Hospice, Wisdom Hospice and Pilgrims Hospice; Macmillan Cancer Support; Kent children’s road safety and children’s environmental and health and wellbeing initiatives.
The event was organised by the Kent and Medway Charity Team for the first time and sponsored by Kent Reliance Building Society. The charity is to invite participants to join its organising committee to help plan and stage the 2011 event. Topics the committee will cover include location, route length and post walk entertainment.
Simon Dolby from the charity team said: "We have had masses of positive comments from walkers about this year's event as well as a shopping list of improvements people have asked us to try and bring in for next year. Some improvements are organisational and some will rely on finding sponsors to fulfil.
"On behalf of the beneficiary charities can I thank all the walkers and their sponsors for their support of this important event."
