Join the the big walk to support cancer and kids causes
Great news – the KM Charity Walk is back! After a year's break the big annual charity walk will again be staged to help a range of good causes in our county.
The KM Charity Walk will be staged at The Hop Farm on Sunday, June 13, 2010. This year's event will support kids causes and cancer charities.

This year’s walk will take in the 500 acres of picturesque Kentish countryside and riverside walks owned by The Hop Farm. Walkers will not enter The Hop Farm attraction as part of the walk, but will receive discount vouchers for use on the day should you wish to go in afterwards.
Previously KM Group and Shepherd Neame ran the event. Both companies are still involved but now the charity team at the KM Group is taking the lead. The benefit of the change is that this gives us a registered charity number for the walk and can ensure Gift Aid income is available to swell the charity pot.
- Increasing the funds for charity. There is a still a registration charge but this is half price if you book your place for the walk online and print your event pack on your own or work PC. Booking online enables you to instantly select your preferred arrival time for the walk. Links to book are below this report at the base of this page.
- Two walk routes to choose from: a short walk of approximately three miles; a main walk of 10 miles.
- This year we go for Gift Aid! This is where the tax man has to chip in 28 per cent of all sponsorship donated by standard rate taxpayers.
Proceeds will be divided with a 50-50 split between cancer and children’s causes. Beneficiaries will be: Kent hospices, Macmillan Cancer Support; Kent children’s road safety and children’s environmental and health and wellbeing initiatives.
