Could you be our education champion?
Education and Administration Project CoordinatorDO YOU have the enthusiasm and motivation to champion a high-profile and well respected educational initiative? Are you well organised and self reliant with excellent presentation and communication skills? KM Charity Team is searching for a part-time Education and Administration Project Coordinator to help enlist new schools to take part in its amazing programmes and assist in the charity’s administrative tasks. The job will be varied with the post holder taking on a variety of sales, administration and event coordination tasks. Presentations form a key part of the role - both to potential sponsors and to schools and parent groups. These presentations explain the benefits of green travel to school schemes, and road safety initiatives. It is essential that you have a good understanding of people and the ability to generate ideas and convince others to gain a positive outcome. You will have strong IT skills, and are able to work with the charity’s database. The post-holder will be paid £18,622.50 per annum. Paid pro rata for 26 hours per week (equivalent to £12,911.60: £9.55 per hour). The days/times of hours are flexible, and we encourage school holidays off through banking of hours. The successful applicants must have a DBS check, which the Charity will organise.

Minute SecretaryThe KM Charity Team requires a Minute Secretary to support the working of the Main Board and its Trustee and staff Committees. This Kent charity works in partnership with the KM Group and a number of major stakeholders including Kent County Council and Medway Council to help make our county a better place to live and work.The Minute Secretary is a voluntary position that pays a small Honorarium of £250 per quarter for attending one or two Trustee meetings per month and one staff meeting per month, and then writing up minutes from home. A mileage allowance of 45p is also payable when attending meetings of the Main Board or Committees. Office Volunteer - assistant administratorIf you have a few hours to spare each week and want to make a real difference to the lives of the people of Kent, please volunteer some time to support the KM Charity Team.The KM Charity Team is a registered charity working alongside the KM Group delivering a range of services to improve the health and wellbeing of children in our county, as well as supporting hundreds of charities with their fundraising. The charity now has an opening for additional volunteer administrators to support it's work.Volunteer administrators will be based at our office at: KM Charity Team, 10 Estuary View, Whitstable, Kent CT5 3SE - so we would prefer volunteers who live locally.Fill out the form below for an information pack and to register your interest. Senior Event StewardsThe KM Charity Team needs additional Senior Event Stewards to support its high profile events including the KM Big Bike Ride (April), KM Colour Run (June), KM Charity Walk (June). Senior Event Stewards spend the day supporting and directing participants taking part in our charity challenges.This is not a paid position, but KM Charity Team do pay an honorarium of £20 per day to help cover mileage and other expenses a volunteer might have. Supporting our events are both exhausting and thoroughly rewarding. You will be helping scores of Kent causes to raise many thousands of pounds for their charities.
Charity TrusteeThe KM Charity Team is seeking additional volunteer Trustees to join its Main Board following a review of its governance.Individuals are required to take on one of the following responsibilities:
- Charity Chairman - to help lead the charity and chair the Main Board
- General Trustee – to serve on the Service Delivery Committee
