Businesses can show their appreciation of the stars of London’s schools and colleges by supporting the London Teacher of the Year Awards. Find out how to get involved in this exciting event and join the esteemed judging panel by contacting Simon Dolby at firstname.lastname@example.org or Karen Brinkman at email@example.com
The awards, which will launch very soon, aim to showcase the talented and dedicated individuals and teams working hard in thousands of schools and colleges across the capital. Every day, these members of teaching and support staff are finding new ways to inspire and encourage young people to achieve and create a bright future.
Nominations will open in January. Award categories will include primary, secondary and newly qualified teacher, non-teaching member of staff (including dinner ladies and caretakers) and a volunteer award, which includes members of the PTA and governors. Anyone associated with a school or college can place a nomination – such as teaching and non-teaching staff, parents or guardians, and students.
The winners will be announced and celebrated at a glittering awards dinner in 2019. This event will have a fundraising element with additional seats available to purchase on a paid basis and a raffle held. Proceeds raised from the London Teacher of the Year Awards will go to literacy and road safety projects in the region.
