KM Big Charity Quiz, Canterbury heat at the University of Kent sports hall, Canterbury

Take part in Kent’s ultimate brain challenge! KM Big Charity Quiz events are an excellent way to raise the profile of your organisation and offer a fun evening for staff or corporate clients, as well as friends. This Canterbury heat is one of four charity quiz nights held each year with the top teams from each event invited to the county final held in December. Each year Big Quiz events raise thousands of pounds for a range of charities.

KM Big Bike Ride at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal

Cyclists ride either a 100km coastal sportive or a more leisurely countryside route of 50km. The event is a great way to raise funds for a good cause, but riders can also take part just for fun. Electric bikes are now welcome on the 50km route!

Closing date for Perfect Packed Lunch Awards

Last chance for primary school children to enter the Perfect Packed Lunch Awards and have their creative writing and artwork put on display at The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge. Entrants must draw their perfect imaginary or genuine packed lunch and explain what makes it so special. Winners will be invited to an awards ceremony where they will see their work exhibited.

Kent Literacy Awards Nominations Close

Final day to nominate school initiatives that showcase best practice in literacy. Nominations are accepted from parents and pupils, as well as teaching, support and management staff at primary and secondary schools in Kent, Medway and Bexley. The awards celebrate projects that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. The awards culminate with a celebratory ceremony at Hempstead House Hotel, Sittingbourne at in June.

KM Charity Golf Day at Chart Hills

KM Charity Team hosts an exclusive charity golf day and luncheon at the fantastic Chart Hills golf course. Chart Hills is an award winning course designed by Sir Nick Faldo. Noted for its diversity and challenging landscape, the course also offers stunning views across the High Weald of Kent. The day includes breakfast, 18 holes, two course lunch, prizes, raffle and auction. Funds raised go to schemes that improve children’s road safety and literacy skills throughout Kent.

KM Colour Run at Betteshanger Country Park, Deal

The KM Colour Run is a charity event, which fuses fun, fitness, and fundraising. Participants walk, jog or run 5km for a charity of their choice while getting covered in multi-coloured corn starch. The run is open to all ages and abilities with the event a favourite with families. Readers wanting to join in the fun without running can sign up as a Colour Bandit and help throw coloured powder paint at participants.

KM Charity Walk from Mote House, Maidstone

The whole family is invited to walk for charity or just for fun. The main 10-mile route leads walkers through the Kent countryside. There’s also a five-mile route for those who want to take a shorter stroll. There will be goody bags and medals for walkers on their return, as well as a barbecue.
