Kent Literacy Awards

Trumpeting skills vital to the next generation

Nominate now Newsletter sign-up

Nominations are accepted from teachers, support staff and management at primary and secondary schools in Kent, Medway, Bromley and Bexley that showcase initiatives that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Nominations officially open on March 1 and culminate with an awards celebration at Hempstead House Hotel, Sittingbourne at the end of June each year. There will be a fundraising raffle, with proceeds raised from the Kent Literacy Awards go to support reading projects in the region.

Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are developed through a wide variety of cross-curricular topics, including arts and drama.

The awards call for nominations to showcase initiatives that make a real difference to the success of schools. The aim is to celebrate what has worked well in the classroom and help spread that best practice across the county.
