Release your inner pop star
Primary and nursery schools in Kent, Medway, Bexley and Bromley have the chance to become pop stars with the KM Walk to School Song Contest.
Schools, classes, Walking Buses or just groups of friends are eligible to enter the annual competition.
Six groups of finalists will be invited to record their song professionally at a leading recording studio.
The competition is organised by the Walk to School division of the KM Charity Team in association with Independent Music Productions (IMP) and supported by 3Rs teacher recruitment.
The prize includes up to six groups of finalists being invited into the recording studio to professionally record their track.
Winners will also be invited to perform their rendition at two major events: Green School Awards in February and Buster’s Big Bash in May.
How do I enter?
In 2017 we are inviting children to sing “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” from Disney’s Song of the South.
Primary and nursery schools can create original lyrics for the song, or simply provide a cover version. Backing music is not essential and points will be awarded to the most creative entries.
Send a CD copy of the track to:
