Entries are now open for this year’s event, which offers the chance to win a professional recording session.
The competition has been organised by the walk to school department of the KM Charity Team in association with Independent Music Productions in Canterbury.
“Schools need to send in a cassette, cd or other format of their group of children singing the song,” he added.
Finalists will be invited to IMP’s recording studio in Canterbury in November to professionally record two tracks, Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah and a special walking bus song.
There will be text voting for your school or nursery’s version of the song, with money raised going to the KM Walk to School charity.
The No.1 selling track will be revealed on the KM Walk to School website on Christmas Day.
As well as receiving a VIP version of the framed single to display in school, the winning group will be invited to be the star guests at two prestigious walk to school events next year.
Entires should be sent to KM Charity Team, Gazette House, 5-8 Estuary View Business Park, Boorman Way, Whitstable, Kent CT5 3SE by Friday, October 11.
