Walkers who stepped out in the sunshine on Sunday have raised more than £6,000 for good causes.
The KM Charity Walk attracted more than 320 men, women, children and dogs choosing from a 10-mile and five-mile route.
Money raised will be divided between Pilgrims Hospices, The Heart of Kent Hospice, Wisdom Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and the KM Charity Team’s children’s road safety, environmental, health and wellbeing initiatives.
Nancy Clark from the charity team said: “On behalf of all the charities that will benefit from the event I would like to thank all the walkers and their sponsors for making this such a success.”
She added that they were grateful to supporters of the event including Charing Primary School and the PTFA who sold tea and cakes to returning walkers.
Members of Stalisfield Village Hall Committee served up barbeque food to boost their fundraising for a new hall.
Mrs Clark also thanked Highworth Grammar School for Girls for volunteering as marshals on the day, Warburtons for providing goody bags and Audley care for water bottles. She added that she was grateful to Cathy Sargent for help with the route and signage.
