There’s still time to take the plunge for your favourite charity by abseiling down a familiar Canterbury landmark.
The KM Charity Challenge Abseil event is launching from Fisher Tower on the Canterbury Christ Church University campus on Sunday, November 10 from 9am onwards.
Participants at the event can test their sense of adventure while raising money for the good cause of their choice, including the Kentish Gazette Charity of the Year, Strode Park Foundation.
Abseil specialists Over the Edge will have two ropes running from the roof of the building, enabling brave abseilers to make their way 100ft down the side.
More support for the event from the business community comes from FORZA, the Ashford-based food supplement company. Managing director Lee Smith said: “Any event that promotes outdoor activity in Kent is one that has our full support. The abseil challenge takes place in a great location, at the top of Canterbury’s seven-storey Fisher Tower, and the KM Charity Team has ensured that it will all be for a very good cause.
“We are thrilled to be involved with such a popular event and we expect the day to be a huge success.”
