Hurrah summer is here and I’ve been having lots of fun out and about in the sunshine.
I went to a brilliant charity walk at Mote House in Maidstone. It raised an amazing £20,000 for good causes! More than 400 people were there and some of them were in fancy dress. My favourites were dressed as Minions from the film Despicable Me.
The charity walk was organised by the KM Charity Team and I went along because I’m their mascot. My best friend Phil wasn’t there but I didn’t mind because I made lots of new friends.
Along the way I met Kirash, 11, from Palace Wood Junior School, Maidstone and his family. I also stopped for a photo with Holly, 12, from Abbey School, Faversham who was walking with her mum and gran.
It was an extra special day because it was the 20th birthday of the KM Charity Walk! To celebrate, everyone got a medal and goody bag at the finish line. And we had a garden party with a barbeque and musicians playing violins and a cello.
I can’t wait for the next event by the KM Charity Team – it’s an assault course challenge for charity in October. I wonder if Phil will come along? I could hide in his pocket while he tackles all the obstacles in the mud!
