Members of the Kent and Medway Charity Team voted in favour of widening the remit of the organisation at the annual meeting on Monday.
A Special Resolution to adopt five new Charitable Objects was approved with 64 of the 83 members voting in favour, with none voting against. This met the requirement that 75 per cent of the membership had taken part in the vote and that 75 per cent of those had to be in favour.
The charity’s IT Co-ordinator Jonathan Hollander was returning officer for the vote and he confirmed that 38 members voted at the meeting with a further 26 voting in favour by postal vote.
Simon Dolby, the charity’s Chief Executive, will now officially inform the Charity Commission of the decision.
