Ride for charity or ride for fun
The KM Charity Team will host its annual KM Big Bike Ride on Sunday 11th October 2020.
Riders have the choice of taking part in the popular physical cycling challenge just for fun, or to raise money for their favourite good cause through sponsorship.
There will be mid-ride refreshments for all riders plus hot and cold food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue. There will be electronic chip timing and each participant will have a sportive photograph taken during the event.
Nominated charities will receive 70% of sponsorship raised by their supporters. The remainder will go to the KM Charity Team to cover costs for the event and to fund its child literacy and road safety work with schools.
Please note due to insurance purposes this ride is not open to anyone under the age of 12. Riders aged 12-17 must have a parental consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Check in time is 8am-10am (for both routes) with the majority of our riders traditionally leaving around 9am.

Participants of the 2020 event can find and download their action cycling photo at www.sportsactionphoto.co.uk. Pictures will be saved by rider number. PLEASE NOTE if your rider number was obscured from the camera your photo will be saved under the number ‘999’.
KM Big Bike Ride is staged as a fundraising event to support the educational services delivered by the KM Charity Team. Booking charges and corporate sponsorship, together with our share of sponsorship raised by participants, are put towards the educational work of the KM Charity Team in the county’s schools.
