The annual KM Charity Team Forum is an opportunity for charities, PTAs and good causes to come together and find out how the KM Charity Team can support you. Use this half-day event to discover how we can help you in your fundraising and PTA development.

You can choose from a range of sessions during the morning in the beautiful surroundings of Ashford International Hotel, Simone Weil Avenue, Ashford, TN24 8UX on Friday, 4 October 2019.  If you have any questions about the Forum, please ring the KM Charity Team on 0844 264 0291.

The timetable is as follows:

8.45-9.15am   Annual Meeting of the KM Charity Team 
8.30-9.30am   Welcome drink and networking. Teas and coffees – don’t forget to book yourself in for a drink 
9.30-10.45am   KM Charity Team – outline for the morning, announcement by KM Charity Team, photocall and presentations of Kent Charity Mark.

You will be able to choose from the following workshop sessions for later in the morning: 

Session 1: 10.45-11.30am. Workshops and speakers.

Session 2: 11.30-12.15.  Workshops and speakers.

Session 3: 12.15-1.00.  Workshops and speakers.

Session 1. Getting the editor on side – Find out how to apply or fine-tune your application to be KM Charity of the Year. Just imagine having the local editor as your champion for 12 months! Team up with KM – Find out how to use events such as the KM Colour Run and KM Dragon Boat Race to get your hands on a share of £300k in 2020.

Session 2. The Professionals – we are bringing in top charity advisers to brief you on unconscious bias and the importance of diversity in a workforce. Session led by Kreston Reeves and Furley Page.

Session 3. Cashing in – Grant expert Rebecca Smith will detail how to maximise your chances of winning funding from charitable trusts and institutional bodies. Bruce Topham from Kent Community Foundation will detail the grant pots they currently have available.
